Our client is seeking a Senior Group Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with Senior Leadership, delivering comprehensive financial reporting and analysis to the Executive Leadership Group and Board. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute to various projects, build trust and develop relationships within the wider Finance team, and participate professionally and enthusiastically within the team.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Group Accountant, you will play a crucial role in consolidating and analysing financial reports, preparing year-end group financial statements, assisting with Oracle consolidation matters, and providing support on various projects. Your exceptional attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and excellent understanding of MS Excel spreadsheets will be key in delivering accurate and timely reports. You will also have the opportunity to build trust and develop relationships within the wider Finance team.

• Consolidate and analyse monthly group financial reporting for the Executive Leadership Group and Board
• Prepare year-end group financial statements following NZ IFRS Reduced Disclosure Regime
• Assist with post go-live Oracle consolidation matters; streamlining of reporting processes and outputs
• Consolidate and analyse quarterly group forecasts
• Participate professionally within the Finance team and provide support on ad hoc projects
• Build trust and develop relationships with the wider Finance team

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Group Accountant position brings a wealth of experience in large group consolidations and financial reporting. You are a qualified accountant (CAANZ or CPA preferred) with strong numeracy skills, an excellent understanding of MS Excel spreadsheets, data analysis, and exceptional attention to detail. Your strong time management skills will enable you to meet deadlines effectively.

• Qualified Accountant (CAANZ or CPA preferred)

• Experience with large ERP systems would be a great advantage
