About the Role:
At BestStart Botany Road, we’re more than just an early learning centre — we’re a place where children and teachers thrive. Our passionate and dedicated team is committed to delivering top-quality care and education to tamariki aged 3 months to school age. With four age-appropriate classrooms and expansive play spaces - we offer a safe, stimulating environment where children grow in confidence and independence.
We’re on the lookout for a collaborative, nurturing, and experienced Head Teacher to inspire our teaching team and support each child’s learning journey. If you’re passionate about bicultural and multicultural practices, believe in the power of positive relationships, and have a strong understanding of curriculum and compliance — this could be your next step.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- A Level 7 ECE qualification (B Ed/Dip Teaching) and current Teaching Registration
- Solid understanding of programme planning, pedagogy, and Te Whāriki
- Up-to-date knowledge of ECE Regulations and licensing criteria
- A genuine passion for quality early childhood education
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
