Industrial Electrician
Whangarei, New Zealand
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our client'steam at the Whangarei Branch. This permanent full-time role involves performing senior-level electrical work, including installation, adjustment, repair, and maintenance of various electronic and electrical systems such as pumps, motors, instruments, PLC controls, communication equipment, automatic and power-operated valves, treatment plant equipment, lighting, and other electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently coordinate and supervise electrical resources on site.
- Provide after-hours electrical coverage as required.
- Utilize working knowledge of 3-Phase systems.
- Apply experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrate proficiency in instrumentation, PLC fault finding, motor starters, VSDs, and related technical documentation (drawings, specifications, scopes of work, instrument data sheets, P&IDs, equipment lists, load lists, instrument lists, valve lists, IO lists, SLDs, motor starter diagrams, loop drawings, IO connection drawings, block cable diagrams).
- Manage projects from start to finish, including financial, risk, and program management.
- Act as a technical expert for electrical tasks on projects.
Key Attributes:
- Highly motivated and quick-thinking with a focus on fault finding and root cause analysis.
- Ability to self-direct while also working effectively within a team.
- Electrical registration with a current practicing license.
- Current driver's license.
- Preferred knowledge of Logix 500 and 5000.
- Previous experience with CMMS systems is preferred.
- Solid understanding of NZ Electrical Rules & Regulations.
