Overview:
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to drive and maintain the development of key accounts while achieving annual volume and profit targets. You will lead a high-performance sales team, foster strategic relationships, and collaborate across departments to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. This role demands someone who excels in leadership and has a strong commitment to developing others within a results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the national key accounts, projects, and estimation teams in identifying sales opportunities, following up on new business, and maintaining strong working relationships with customers.
- Develop and execute annual sales plans alongside branch managers to ensure targets are met.
- Drive platforming and commercial action plans in alignment with company goals.
- Build a succession plan for critical roles and oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of high-performing employees.
- Contribute to the annual business plan and implement actions to exceed sales and profitability targets.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers, ensuring consistent customer service and exceeding expectations.
- Foster a supportive and motivating environment where the team can learn, develop skills, and achieve success.
- Health, Safety, and Sustainability:
- Drive a culture where Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards are the number one priority for both physical and psychological safety.
- Ensure all HSE personnel training is completed, and the team adheres to relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven success in a managerial role with a strong background in sales and key account management.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal), organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a focus on financial planning and achieving sales targets.
- Ability to motivate and lead teams, ensuring accountability and high performance.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key clients.
- Ability to implement effective coverage plans to drive market penetration and growth.
- Proficient in CRM systems to manage sales processes and customer relationships.
- Previous experience in managing and mentoring a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
