He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We have multiple vacancies to join our Visitor Service Team on a casual basis – in this role you will provide frontline customer service to visitors to Maritime Museum Hui Te Ananui A Tangaroa and visitors to Auckland

In terms of availability, we are looking for applicants who are available to cover a minimum of 3 shifts per week on a casual basis, including weekdays, Saturday and Sunday, and public holidays.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Selling tickets for museum entry and vessel trips
  • Assisting in the delivery of events, public programs and activities
  • Selling products from our retail shop
  • Providing information of the surrounding Viaduct and Auckland area to assist visitors with directions to create a warm, engaging, and friendly atmosphere.

Your people-centric nature will be highly valued in this role – we are looking for engaging, outgoing individuals that love meeting new people.

You will be sharing your knowledge, proactively looking for opportunities to secure sailing and tour bookings and promoting the sale of our items from our retail shop, making this a dynamic position that will keep you engaged.

Due to the variety of work, you will be able to apply and fine-tune a mixture of your sales, customer service and story-telling skills.
