Job Description

Digital Analyst – Full Funnel Customer Analytics

About the role:
We are seeking a skilled Digital Analyst to join our team and help drive our data-driven marketing and digital efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing tagging solutions, ensuring proper data flows, and delivering actionable insights from our digital marketing initiatives.

As a Digital Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our data collection processes and delivering valuable insights to drive our digital marketing strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and actionability throughout our organization

If you are passionate about data, have a strong technical background, and enjoy solving complex problems in the digital marketing space, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain tagging solutions in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Amplitude to track user behaviour across our digital properties
  • Develop and optimize data collection strategies to ensure comprehensive full-funnel marketing reporting
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement appropriate tracking
  • Manage tag management systems to streamline data collection and improve site performance
  • Manage and implement paid media and conversion tracking to report on and optimise marketing campaign performance
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across multiple platforms and touchpoints
  • Create and maintain documentation for tagging implementations and data flows
  • Develop automated reporting solutions to provide timely insights to stakeholders
  • Analyse digital marketing data to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate marketing data into the broader data ecosystem
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in digital analytics and tag management best practices
  • Applying Continuous Integration and Delivery practices where applicable.
  • Reducing toil through workflow automation and simplification.
  • Fail-fast philosophy through granular, frequent changes.
  • A pretty major theme for the role already, so may be redundant.

Key Priorities:

  • Paid media and marketing campaign tracking, reporting and performance
  • Full funnel journey measurement, reporting and identification of opportunities
  • Conversion data including lead reporting and customer journey analysis
  • Landing page optimisation data and insights
  • Opportunities to leverage first party data within marketing campaigns and ad platforms

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in digital analytics, tag management, or a similar role
  • Proficiency in implementing and working with Google Analytics 4 and Amplitude
  • Experience with tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Tealium)
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Data Studio)
  • Understanding of paid media tracking and ad platform integration
  • Experience with BigQuery, SQL and data modelling techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and channels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Google Analytics certification
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis
