  • Hours 7.30/8.30am to 5pm roster


The Position

To provide office administration assistance and support, enabling the best possible experience for the patient in a busy clinical setting with surgical procedures carried out onsite.

  • A varied role fulfilling customer service and administration tasks within a specific medical department
  • Face to face patient contact, and with their visitors/relatives
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Maintain appointments at optimal level
  • Appropriate and consistent instructions to patients for procedures performed onsite
  • Knowledge of schedules and preparation for Specialists is current
  • Patient info data entry
  • Labels and daily procedure lists, print as required
  • Understanding of journal entry and printing of invoices and credit entry
  • Receipting and understanding patient accounts


Variety plus….as there is rotation through varied roles in an administrative team environment (in essence a mix of data entry, bookings, insurance, typing and reception roles - all on a 2 week cycle, eg 2 weeks just Reception, 2 weeks just bookings, etc) so it makes it very interesting

You

  • Will have a strong Medical Administration focus
  • Patient administration experience previously from within a medical settting (GP, Specialist or Hospital) would be ideal
  • Have excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Medical terminology knowledge, phone, customer service & administration experience
  • Attitude and fit (eg work ethic and initiative) will secure this terrific and quite special role!

  • Salary negotiable dependent on your experience
