Due to an increasing workload, we need a skilled drainlayer who is an A player with proven experience in the civil drain laying industry.

Williams Drainage and Civil are looking for a drainlayer, preferably with experience in the civil industry who can work within a drainage crew installing pipes, training apprentices, and working within their team to get the job done.

We aim to employ only highly motivated team members where the overall quality and pride in our work are the key factors to providing this service. Williams drainage and civil has a reputation in the industry for delivering high quality workmanship and high-performance work. We are based in the Franklin area, working locally and within the wider Auckland and Waikato regions.

The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:

  • Physically fit
  • Self-motivated
  • Take pride in their work/look after gear


  • Capable of leading a team *Punctual-reliable work attendance *Be able to work un-supervised yet able to work in a team environment *Be able to read plans and lay pipe accurately and to a high standard *Able to bench and plaster to a high standard *Must have good understanding and demonstrate excellent health and safety practice. *Extremely ambitious with the drive and commitment to succeed. *Naturally shows initiative and is solution focused. *Train and mentor apprentices *Competent and safe use of a concrete saw


  • Current NZ driver's license


Un-qualified drainlayers are welcome to apply, however must be able to complete work to a high standard (qualification can be gained on the job).

Drug free is a must.
