We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join us as a Truck Driver and Nursery Worker.

Job Description

As a Truck Driver and Nursery Worker, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our nursery. This dual-role position requires first and foremost a reliable and experienced truck driver who would also enjoy some variety to their day and is capable of handling some basic nursery tasks when not doing deliveries. Prior experience in a nursery environment is not essential as training can be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Transporting plants and supplies to various locations safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading trucks with both a forklift and on occasion by hand.
• Assisting around the nursery with general tasks.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the nursery and work areas.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and in good condition.
• Performing basic routine vehicle maintenance and reporting any issues promptly.
• Collaborating with the nursery team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum class 2 driver's license with a clean driving record (must be able to drive a manual).
• Valid forklift license or some previous experience using a forklift
• Prior nursery work desirable but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability and willingness to perform some physical labour in various weather conditions.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
