The Re-Creators are an Upcycle Collective who deliver DIY skills-based workshops across the Auckland region. Our mission is to enable people to Reimagine Waste into Value by design thinking and skills teaching. We work with all ages, genders, races, religions, as we know that everyone LOVES to MAKE!!

Volunteering at our Green Space, based in Massey Auckland offers a multitude of benefits. It provides an opportunity to learn and master new skills, whether it's basic woodworking techniques or mindful craft preparation.

If you are a regular volunteer, you will learn tools such as drilling, sanding, how to use a drop saw and help prepare materials for lots of DIY Projects. We return to our volunteers in terms of free classes or materials.

Volunteering at a social enterprise like ours allows individuals to give back to their community and make a positive impact on the environment. It fosters a sense of fulfillment and purpose, promoting personal growth and well-being while building a stronger, more sustainable society.

By volunteering with us you will:

  • Work collaboratively with a team of creative individuals.
  • Upcycle a variety of materials into new and exciting products.
  • Contribute to the production process, from initial design to final finishing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Meet new people and have fun!


You can come and volunteer anytime if you want to learn a skill or contribute to our community. We also offer woodworking skills, if you are wanting to volunteer with us regularly.
