Job Description

About the Role:

Our client, a leading logistics and courier services company, is seeking a proactive Sales Coordinator to join their Wellington team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving sales and fostering strong client relationships. You will identify new customer opportunities, manage existing accounts, and contribute to overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively reach out to new customers via phone to sell courier services or schedule appointments for sales reps.
  • Conduct a minimum of 50 cold calls per week to potential new clients.
  • Manage care call programs with existing customers, maintaining a target of 50 calls per week.
  • Qualify leads from the Customer Service team and either secure a sign-up or hand over to the Sales Rep team.
  • Identify upsell opportunities for current clients and execute focused marketing efforts within assigned territories.
  • Monitor and report client service issues to ensure prompt resolution by the relevant departments.
  • Regularly update client records in the company’s CRM system.
  • Provide weekly progress reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Attend sales meetings and contribute to overall strategy discussions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as required by the Sales Manager.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent Communication: Confident, articulate, and capable of building strong relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Sales-Driven: Experience identifying sales opportunities and converting leads into customers.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail.
  • Initiative: A self-starter with a proactive approach to solving problems and identifying opportunities.
  • Tech Proficiency: Competent with Microsoft Office, email, and CRM systems.


Additional Information:

  • Full-time role, standard hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional work outside these hours.
  • Based in Gracefield, with regular interaction with both clients and internal teams.
  • Important: Due to the location of the depot in Gracefield, it is essential that candidates have their own vehicle as the site is not accessible by public transport.
