THE OPPORTUNITY:
Are you a sales dynamo with a passion for driving results? We’re on the hunt for a motivated and hungry salesperson to join our fun and thriving team! This is a 12-month fixed-term role covering parental leave, offering you an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills, develop fresh ideas, and bring your positive attitude and sense of humour to the table! If you love cold calling, thrive on building relationships, and have strong communication skills (both written and oral), this is the role for you!
This role is predominately an office/phone-based role, which will manage a broad classified portfolio of NZME customers. It will require you to work efficiently and collaboratively to build relationships and successfully sell solutions, general administration tasks in a hardworking, fast paced environment.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT:
Classified revenue generation:
- Take advantage of new business/business development opportunities via campaign related targets for NZME publishing.
- Upsell to classified ad customers to meet targets.
Sales process and procedures:
- Assist with booking incoming advertising for NZME platforms.
Customer service and satisfaction:
- Provide advertising solutions that meet customer and business needs.
- Resolve any customer or internal process issues.
Team contribution and contribution to other business functions:
- Collaborate with other teams to provide the best telesales opportunities.
- Contribute to team success to meet objectives.
ABOUT YOU:
- Ideally 1-2+ years’ sales experience, ideally in telemarketing sales.
- Experienced in customer service.
- Advertising or marketing qualification or experience an advantage.
- Knowledge of full Microsoft suite; Word and Excel to an intermediate level.
- An effective communicator, being able to relate confidently with people inside and outside the organisation.
- Able to work at pace, with attention to detail and accuracy front of mind.
- Motivated by meeting targets and achieving individual and team objectives.
