About the Business:

MacDougalls provide a comprehensive range of farm equipment, water & effluent systems, engineering, electrical supplies, and more, aiming to be your first choice in rural service and supplies. They are proud sponsors of local schools, sports clubs, and community events, as well as supporting industry initiatives and the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter, which aids farming communities in need.

Adecco Recruitment is partnering with MacDougalls to recruit a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading company that values customer service, community support, and growth within the rural industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets through key account management.
  • Develop relationships with dealership staff and end-users.
  • Sell MacDougalls and DeLaval product lines, including animal health, spare parts, and more.
  • Monitor and follow up on sales leads and opportunities.
  • Report sales forecasts and manage stock levels.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure accurate records and invoicing.
  • Maintain a professional image and participate in sales training.


Key Requirements:

  • Strong sales skills and customer relationship management.
  • Ability to meet sales targets and provide detailed reports.
  • Willingness to maintain product knowledge and attend training.
  • Adherence to safety practices and regulations.


Key Performance Indicators:

  • Maintain a 95% customer satisfaction rate.
  • Meet budget and profitability targets.
  • Maintain expenses within budget.
