Key Responsibilities
Facilitate varying residential conveyancing and commercial real estate transactions, encompassing sales, purchases, leases and financing agreements;
Conduct due diligence investigations to identify potential legal issues or risks associated the transactions;
Draft and negotiate contracts, including sale and purchase agreements, lease agreements, and financing agreements;
Drafting of documentation relating to private client property transactions with a focus on estates and trusts;
Assisting clients with buying, selling, leasing, or transferring property, as well as handling property disputes or negotiations;
Drafting and reviewing legal documents including Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney documents, Contracting out Agreements, Leases, Trust deeds etc.
To be successful in this role you should have:
2-4 years PQE across property and/or private client matters;
Admitted in New Zealand with knowledge of property and commercial law;
Take a client focussed approach providing effective legal advice that meets client needs;
Commercially astute and client focused; and
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
