Job Description

Transportation Manager

Are you a proven leader ready to tackle unique infrastructure challenges? We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to oversee the management and development of a diverse roading network in a fast-growing region.

The Role:

  • Lead a team to plan and deliver critical transportation projects, balancing urban and rural priorities.
  • Build and restructure an in-house team while managing contractors and stakeholders.
  • Engage closely with communities, including iwi and hapū, to align infrastructure with local needs.
  • Oversee budgets, contracts, and network maintenance to ensure efficient operations.


About You:

  • Senior-level experience in transportation or roading management, ideally in remote or rural areas.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in cultural and community collaboration.
  • Expertise in project, financial, and asset management, with a solid background in road construction and maintenance.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering, transport planning, or related fields.
