Job Description:
The Company
Our client is a modern, highly automated FMCG plant in Tauranga. They have been growing tremendously and they just recently completed some exciting capital projects. They run multiple shifts, and due to a retirement, they are now looking for a new Maintenance Engineer on the day shift.
The Role
You will be performing hands-on preventative and reactive maintenance in order to ensure production runs smoothly and down time is kept to a minimum.You will also take part in exciting capital projects in the plant.
They have various high speed and highly automated machines. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has experience working in a similar production environment and have worked on pneumatics.
This is predominantly a mechanical role and you will need to have excellent hands-on mechanical fault-finding skills. However, we would also prefer candidates who are able to perform some electrical work and have an EAS or EST.
The working hours are 5am to 2.30pm Mon to Friday. There will be some overtime and call outs occasionally in the weekend, which will be paid time an a half.
Flexible 2024 or 2025 start.
In summary, the requirements are,
- Trade qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting Turning preferred
- Electrical skills and EST/ EAS is advantageous but not essential
- Experience working in FMCG manufacturing
- Hands-on fault-finding skills
- Health and safety conscious
