Job Description:
The Company Our client is a NZ market leader in industrial process controls equipment with a history of over 40 years. They are also a trusted partner of a well-known global brand for industrial control systems. Primarily based in Auckland, they have a large team of highly skilled and collaborative engineers and technicians.
The Role As a Sales Engineer, you will focus on developing business and relationships with both new and existing customers in the process engineering, industrial, manufacturing, oil and gas, and other similar sectors across NZ.
Leveraging your technical expertise in process control engineering as well as vast industry knowledge, you will identify growth opportunities in the market and achieve sales targets.
On a day-to-day basis, you will primarily find yourself 'on the road' visiting potential customers face-to-face. Overnight travel will be required one week out of every 4 weeks approximately to other regions in NZ.

In summary, the requirements are,
An engineering background in electrical/ industrial control systems/ automation or similar, with a focus in instrumentation would be highly preferred
Previous experience in sales
Relevant NZ industry knowledge
Flexibility to travel and clean Class 1 licence
Advanced verbal and written communication
Self motivated and a hunger for success
