We're looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Whanganui, supporting a busy urban fleet and working with outwork providers to keep our buses in region running smoothly.
This is a new role as a result of our growth!
What will your workday look like? This role offers a low-stress work environment, with most of the fleet returning by 5pm and minimal ongoing issues that will impact your weekend (these can normally wait till the next workday).
Your main focus will be on routine servicing, minor repairs, and ensuring our fleet are ready for daily operations
Diagnose and repair faults across a mixed fleet of urban buses.
Work with outwork providers to manage maintenance and repairs.
Carry out small fault repairs and general servicing.

Monday to Friday schedule with consistent hours.
Supportive team environment - you will have the support of a senior mechanic (Monday to Wednesday), as well as additional overflow work from our Palmerston North workshop.
Who are we looking for:
A skilled and qualified Diesel Mechanic who can work independently while being part of a wider support network.
Strong fault diagnosis and repair skills.
Someone who enjoys working with urban transport fleets in a fast-paced but manageable environment.
A team player who can coordinate with external service providers and internal support teams.
Ability to work independently and manage third-party service providers.
Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
