Joining our public sector client on an intial contract to the end of June with a possibility to extend for a further 6 months, as a Senior Technical Specialist, you will be at the forefront of workplace transformation, helping to modernise core systems and enhance security. You will collaborate with various teams to design and implement a modern, cloud-driven environment that optimises user experience and security. A key aspect of this role involves leading the transition from SCCM to Intune and ensuring seamless deployment of Windows 11. You will also be responsible for enhancing email security, configuring compliance policies, and supporting business-as-usual (BAU) operations to maintain a secure and efficient digital workspace. Your expertise in Microsoft technologies will help drive best practices, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with security policies.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead the deployment of Windows 11 using Intune Autopilot
Oversee the migration of SCCM workloads to Intune and support BAU teams
Optimise and configure security solutions including Exchange Online, Purview, and Defender for 365
Implement and manage email security controls such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
Work with stakeholders to translate Windows 10 GPOs into Intune configurations
Manage technical issues, oversee change control processes, and document configurations
Skills and Experience Required
Strong experience with Windows SOE, Active Directory, and Group Policy
Hands-on expertise with Intune and SCCM for device and application management
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft security tools, including Defender for Endpoint and Defender for 365
Experience configuring Exchange Online and hybrid environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to clear NZ Confidential Security Clearance
