Technical Facilities Manager
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Technical Facilities Manager to lead and maintain our building services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Facilities Management and a strong understanding of the Building Act, compliance codes, and Health and Safety standards relevant to the built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement asset management and preventative maintenance plans to maximize the lifespan and efficiency of assets.
- Oversee procurement, manage contractor relationships (PCBU Management), and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Monitor budgets, manage financial resources, and provide regular reports to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to project management for small-scale projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Lead and engage teams, make sound decisions, and drive innovation for continuous improvement in facility operations.
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive experience in Facilities Management with a focus on technical services.
- A solid understanding of the Building Act and codes of compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety requirements within the built environment.
- Proven experience in procurement, contract management, and managing relationships with external contractors.
- A track record of contributing to asset management and preventative maintenance planning.
- Experience in managing small projects, with a sound understanding of project management methodologies.
- Financial acumen, including budget management and cost optimization.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
