Te wero – The Challenge

We currently require a reliable and flexible casual to work in our FNDC Libraries located in Kerikeri and Paihia with occasional help required in our Kawakawa and Kaikohe libraries too. The kind of work you could be doing includes front counter customer service and general library tasks in branches across our network, backfilling our multiskilled library staff. This is an opportunity to grow your library skills or take the first step in a new career.

I ā koe - About You

Are you a ‘people person’ who believes in customer service excellence? Do you thrive on challenge, autonomy, and ongoing change to ensure the best possible outcomes?

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role would be highly regarded
  • Excellent work ethic & communication
  • Great Customer Service skills
  • Awareness of the modern library environment
  • Sound digital literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office - particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Availability to cover staff sickness and leave at short notice
  • You must have a current drivers licence and/or reliable transport
  • You must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
