Senior Network Engineer - 2talk

Your role, your journey | Te Huarahi Whakatipu 

With a minimum of 5 years' experience in Service Provider and Telecommunications networking, you'll excel in managing complex networks. Your expertise in network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, switching and subscriber management will be instrumental for success. You're well-versed in Juniper and Cisco equipment and hold industry certifications at the CCNP/JNCIP level. Your commitment to network reliability, network security, strong problem-solving skills, and network automation makes you the ideal candidate to collaborate with our IT professionals and drive network innovation.

 How you'll show up | Tu mai Tu Rangatira

  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to plan and execute network upgrades and expansion projects.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network resources to ensure high availability.
  • Maintain technical documentation and drawings and engage with internal teams for updates when required.
  • Take ownership of escalated faults and work through to resolution.
  • Ensure network compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Share shifts on the On-Call roster.
  • Be a mentor and collaborate with other engineers.
