ABOUT THE ROLE Our client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the organisation, and will require travel to manage the territory.This is a hunting role with business opportunities around the wider South Island region.You will need to build strategic working relationships with customers influencing decisions and make sound financial interpretation with a solid knowledge of our client products, services, procedures and processes.

Finding, developing and managing new customer opportunities
Maintaining and developing existing customers for additional growth
Liasing directly with shipping lines for relevant pricing support
Working collaboratively with the broader sales team
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Thinks outside the box and will use your initiative
Attention to detail
A team player with the ability to work well under pressure
Pro-active and resourceful with excellent time management
B2B solution selling experience
CargoWise experience would be an advantage
Strong communication; verbal and written
