Job Description
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment, where your skills and experience will be highly valued. You will be working closely with partners and solicitors, handling a variety of tasks from assisting with conveyancing and business transactions to managing diaries and administering billing processes. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a law firm, with commercial property experience being a bonus but not a necessity. This is a full time, in-office position based in Christchurch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with conveyancing and business transaction files
- Preparing legal documents, reports and statements
- Formatting documents
- Opening files and undertaking AML verification
- Liaising with clients - follow ups, settlement conversations etc
- Managing diaries and calendars
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a law firm
- Strong administrative skills including document formatting and diary management
- Ability to liaise effectively with clients and manage follow ups
- Knowledge of commercial property law would be advantageous but not necessary
- Ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly - experience with Infinity Law desirable
