MercyAscot is New Zealand's largest private surgical facility with 22 theatres across 3 sites. With the opening of our purpose-built, state-of-the-art Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) in Parnell. and an impressive new hospital wing under construction in Epsom, we are now looking for reliable, flexible and enthusiastic technicians who are committed to working in a highly functional healthcare service environment. CSSD is the backbone of our theatres' operation and with the ever-increasing number of daily operations, we are setting up to provide a first class decontamination and sterilisation service for our growing organisation.

We have a full-time vacancy for a NZ Certified Sterilising Technician, to work variable 8 hours rostered shifts which will include day, evening and weekend roster.

To be considered you will have:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 4) or overseas equivalent endorsed by NZSSA
  • Relevant experience in a surgical hospital
  • Aptitude for handling mechanical equipment
  • Good physical fitness and agility
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Previous experience in equipment loans or a customer services role
