Join our Tax & Enterprise team as a Senior Associate in our state-of-the-art offices in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. Here, you’ll collaborate with global clients across diverse industries while enjoying Auckland's exceptional lifestyle.

Our tax practice is supportive, agile, and inclusive, handling a wide range of tax matters such as international tax, M&A, tax accounting and compliance, and tax strategy. Our clients range from iconic New Zealand and international corporations to family-owned businesses, entrepreneurial enterprises, and high net worth individuals.

As a Senior Associate, you'll provide strategic tax consulting and compliance services. Embrace a collaborative approach to deliver tailored and effective solutions for a variety of clients. You'll be part of a young, vibrant, and supportive team known for embracing change, innovation and flexible working practices, including the use of generative AI, part-time work, and job sharing. Additionally, you’ll benefit from a targeted learning and development programme.

Role responsibilities:

Collaborate with Partners and senior leaders to proactively manage client relationships, provide pragmatic and effective solutions to client queries and identify value-added opportunities.

Advise on a range of tax consulting projects, including internal restructuring, M&A transactions and Inland Revenue reviews.

Work closely with clients to manage their tax obligations, including preparation or review of their annual tax calculations and returns.

Utilise leading digital tools to drive new efficiencies for the firm and our clients, embracing innovation in tax services.

Work with cross-functional teams, both locally and internationally, to deliver comprehensive tax services.

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

3+ years of tax experience in a commercial, government, or CA environment, including the preparation of complex income tax returns and interpretation of tax legislation and financial information.

Hold a relevant Bachelor's or Master's qualification in accounting, tax, or a closely related subject.

Demonstrate an innovative and motivated approach to your work, with strong business acumen and personal ambition.

Possess an eagerness to embrace technology (including generative AI).

Demonstrate refined professional writing skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
