Job Description

If you love to sell to people, but also love a bit of logistics on the side, then this is your role! If you have proven exceptional customer service, a drive to sell and an organised mind, then we want to hear from you!

This hybrid role will see you providing information and making bookings for the Stewart Island Ferry, promoting and selling activities and excursions, checking in passengers as required and providing all-round support for the ferries coming in and leaving the island.

You will be multi skilled, easily transitioning from jumping in to help out at the Oban Wharf, keeping an eye out for changes on manifests, checking in passengers to inspiring guests with experiences the island has to offer. You are entertaining and likable, genuine and real. You are a proactive communicator with the ability to anticipate guest's needs.

This is a fixed term part time role based in Oban.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in sales and customer service
  • Outstanding people and communication skills
  • A forklift licence would be an advantage

What's in it for you?

Some amazing staff benefits - take a friend for free with you to explore some of RealNZ's most memorable experiences - jet boating, rafting, Te Anau Glowworm Caves, Milford and Doubtful Sound and Rakiura. What an awesome opportunity to explore our back yard without spending a fortune!
