About the company:

We are a local facilities management company who looks after community parks and buildings in the Auckland Region. We have a diverse work force of 300 staff members delivering a variety of works such as gardening, arboriculture, sports field maintenance and building renovation works to mention a few.

About the Role:

The Projects team is responsible for the planning and execution of small to large scale projects across Auckland for government agencies that provides a variety of projects. This can range from hard landscaping projects to build space renovations.

Ready to take on a dynamic, hands-on leadership role? In this position, you'll dive into physical labor, drawing on your experience in civil works, residential construction, and ideally landscaping, while utilizing your strong computer skills to keep things organized.

Hit the ground running in this dynamic labour role! Managing end-to-end projects, from planning and coordination to overseeing contractors and staff, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

As a "Jack of all Trades," you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your strong communication skills and natural organizational abilities will keep you flexible as you navigate through different tasks and projects.

This is a leadership role where you'll be in the field, working side-by-side with your team while managing multiple projects at once to achieve the best results!

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Field based hands on role requiring a broad range of carpentry skills, which requires a relevant qualification to support this. ie level 4 carpentry / BCITO / LPB advantageous.
  • Based in Henderson, you'll be responsible for organising materials, machinery, and staff to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain a high standard of health and safety on all worksites.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are clear and understood by all parties.
  • Ensure all projects are completed to established standards and deadlines.
  • Effectively multitask and manage multiple projects running concurrently.
