We are delighted to announce that Westpac NZ are seeking a newly created positions in our Health Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) team within Human Resources & Communications (HRC) on a permanent basis. We are investing in our HS&W programmes and initiatives and supporting our people #TogetherGreater.
We are sourcing a Senior Manager HSW Strategic Programmes. This is a senior role in their own specialised area and will be tasked to bring to life Westpac’s HS&W ambition.
Based at Westpac Head Office, Britomart, reporting to our Head of Human Resources – Consumer Banking & Wealth & HSW you will apply your extensive experience in the development of Westpac’s HSW Strategy and plan lead the execution of new and ongoing programmes of work.
This role will identify HS&W needs and the development of appropriate solutions. It is critical to the execution of the Westpac HS&W strategy and supports plans and initiatives in the areas of Mental Health, Culture Change and external orientation to support continuous improvement, in line with Westpac’s HS&W Vision, Principles, Policies, Standards and Procedures.
Ideally your experience will have led you to a Senior or Head of level within HS&W within a large and complex organisation, combined with a relevant tertiary qualification and organisational psychology background. You will display advanced knowledge of H&S legislation as well as stakeholder management and strong influencing skills.

- Extensive experience in Health, Safety and Wellbeing (within Financial Services or a related industry preferable)
- Project Management experience
- Ability work in complex and high paced environment

- Ability to build effective relationships and assimilate information quickly
