Job Title: Commercial Finance Broker
Location: CBD, New Zealand
Reports to: General Manager, Capital Connect
Job Purpose:
The Commercial Finance Broker is responsible for identifying and securing commercial finance opportunities, managing a portfolio of clients, and providing tailored financial solutions. The role focuses on business development and structuring deals across sectors such as Asset Finance, Business Loans, and Property Development, with an emphasis on upper Tier 2 lending solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation:
Actively prospect, source, and develop new business opportunities through networking, client outreach, and market engagement.
Client Relationship Management:
Build, maintain, and grow long-term relationships with clients, offering expert advice and personalised financing solutions.
Deal Structuring and Negotiation:
Analyse client requirements, structure appropriate financial solutions, and negotiate successful deals with lenders.
Portfolio Management:
Oversee an existing portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service, client satisfaction, and repeat business.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the General Manager and internal broker team to provide comprehensive financial solutions, leveraging the company’s extensive lender panel.
Market Awareness:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, lender products, and the competitive landscape.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven Experience:
Experience in commercial finance brokering, banking, or a related field, with a focus on Tier 1 and Tier 2 lending.
Sales and Business Development:
Demonstrated success in generating leads, closing deals, and growing a portfolio of clients.
Industry Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of commercial lending, including Asset Finance, Property Development, Business Loans, Working Capital, and Invoice Factoring.
Networking Skills:
Ability to leverage a strong network of industry contacts and actively expand business relationships.
Communication and Negotiation:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate effectively with clients and lenders.
Qualifications:
Relevant industry certifications in finance or commercial brokering
