This franchise dealership in Auckland is looking for an experienced Parts Advisor to join their team. You will form an integral part of the aftersales team helping to maintain high levels of customer service and efficiency in the parts department.


The role
The focus of your role will be internal parts sales though you will of course also be involved with handling enquiries, parts ordering and stock control, and external retail sales.

Duties will include:

  • Handling incoming enquiries from the internal workshop and retail customers (via phone and email, and face-to-face)
  • Providing high standards of customer service
  • Ordering and managing parts stock
  • Providing parts quotes and invoicing
  • Identify the correct parts for the related vehicles and provide accurate advice



Skills sought

  • Prior parts experience is required, preferably in a franchise dealership environment
  • While light automotive parts experience is first choice, applications from those with heavy vehicle or heavy equipment parts backgrounds will also be considered
  • You must have clear communication skills (verbal and written)
  • A commitment to exceptional customer service
  • A passion for parts and the automotive industry
  • Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to lift heavy objects
  • Good computer literacy including experience with a computerised parts system
  • Meticulous attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Full, clean drivers licence
