Our client is on the hunt for a proficient Accounts Payable specialist to join their finance team, based in Auckland. Our client is happy to consider candidates who are already in an Accounts Payable Manager position, or experienced Accounts Payable specialists looking for a step up into a leadership / management position.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Manager of Accounts Payable, your role will be pivotal in providing backup and support to the finance team. You will take ownership of critical situations ensuring timely solutions. Your excellent relationship management skills will be utilised in managing customer relationships, ensuring timely, professional responses. You will also contribute significantly to team performance by maintaining your knowledge and skills while fostering a positive working environment.

  • Manage all payments ensuring they are completed accurately and promptly
  • Take full responsibility for payment of suppliers/vendors, credit cards, staff expenses, special customers and all types of payments
  • Own vendor management, reconciliation and maintenance of the register
  • Provide high-quality support to the business and staff
  • Develop and manage AP staff, acting as a coach to grow overall AP skills in the team
  • Proactively identify issues and provide timely solutions
  • Undertake one-off projects, compile and process data for the business as required


Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this Manager of Accounts Payable position brings a wealth of experience in the field. With at least 5 years in the Accounts Payable area, you have honed your skills in general finance administration and working with customer contracts. Your excellent analytical abilities complement your fast and accurate data entry skills. Your proficiency in large ERP systems with your ability to plan and prioritise work will be invaluable in this role.

  • Minimum of 5 years in Accounts Payable area
  • At least 2 years experience in a Senior Accounts Payable role
  • General finance administration experience
  • Experience working with customer contracts
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills
