About the role
Join our dedicated Kitchen Team at Gulf rise Village located in Red Beach, North Auckland. We have an exciting opportunity for reliable Kitchen Hands to deliver excellent service to our residents. This role would suit someone who is motivated and wanting to start a career in the kitchen. You will also enjoy working as part of a team, as well as working unsupervised.

Shifts are as follows:

Vacancy 1: 33 hours per week / Wednesday to Sunday 10am - 6pm

Vacancy 2: 21 hours per week / Wed/Thurs/Fri - 10am - 6pm

  • Assist Chefs in food preparation and kitchen duties
  • Ensure that excellent quality meals are served on a timely basis
  • Food is served in the designated area using correct techniques.
  • Food safety hygiene control processes are followed strictly.
  • Responsible for clearing tables and putting dishes and cutlery through the dishwasher.
  • Responsible for cleaning kitchen and dining areas after meals.
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of professional standards and customer service.

  • Excellent food hygiene skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Empathy and a love for making an impact on our residents' lives
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (advantageous)
  • Commercial kitchen experience (advantageous)
