Your future team

As a Research intern, you will report to the Research Managers and you will define and conduct research that not only informs our ultimate mission, but feeds the design, strategy and development of our products and platforms.

You will define and conduct research that not only informs our ultimate mission, but feeds the design, strategy and development of our products and platforms. You will join a smart, passionate team who work together to improve our research craft and help Atlassian build better experiences for our customers. Please note, in the application process, you will be required to share with us a previous research project or case study you worked on, maximum of one page.

This program is open to penultimate year university students with Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency. The internship dates are late November 2025 to late February 2026, full-time for 12 weeks.


Your background:

  • Be currently enrolled in Masters program in Psychology, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction or a relevant degree and completing your studies before January 2027.
  • You will have a background in qualitative (and some quantitative) UX research methods. We will look for your knowledge of when, why, and how to apply these methods.
  • You will be proficient in data management and data analysis. We hope to see engaging techniques for sharing research insights.
