We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering meaningful and impactful insights to our stakeholders.

This role is a crucial member of our Operations Transformation team where you will be providing data-driven insights that shape our business decisions.

Mo te tūranga | About the role: 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain analytical tools and reporting to track key performance metrics across operations and services.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and document business requirements for new metrics and reporting, ensuring insights meet their needs.
  • Utilise internal and external data sources to generate actionable insights that provide valuable information and recommendations for the business.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance reporting tools, adding value through effective data visualisation and analysis.
  • Continuously improve your technical skills to enhance your effectiveness and impact in the BI space.
  • Clearly document insights and reports, facilitating discussion and management action based on the findings. Coach colleagues on how to effectively use reports and explain insights.


Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful? 

  • Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting, with strong knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and PowerBI. Strong experience with PowerBI is essential.
  • Strong ability to extract meaningful insights from operational data and align them with business strategies to drive value.
  • Expertise in using visualisation tools to present complex data in a clear and understandable way, enabling effective decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to a variety of audiences, from technical teams to senior management, and drive action based on those insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on challenging the status quo and finding new ways to improve processes and reporting.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to balance competing deadlines and deliverables.
  • Strong written and presentation skills, with experience presenting findings to different audiences effectively.
