He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Assistant to work at Timaru Hospital. Hours would be as and when required, dependent on business needs.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position;

  • Basic cafe skills would be advantageous
  • You will be working as part of a team serving food on the trayline
  • Ensuring hygiene and washing dishes.
  • You will be ensuring that all requests are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
  • Assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.
  • He kōrero mōu / About you:

  • If you're our ideal candidate;

  • You will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Ideally you will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167).
  • You will have superior customer service skills
  • Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
