Job Description
As a Change Manager, you will drive and manage change initiatives across the organisation, focusing on the people aspect of change, including business processes, systems, and technology. You will develop strategies to manage resistance and ensure smooth transitions. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of change management principles, methodologies, and tools, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
What you'll do:
As a Change Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing change initiatives across various projects and departments. You will develop comprehensive change management strategies that align with organisational goals, conduct detailed impact analyses to understand the effects of changes on stakeholders and business processes, and assess change readiness across the organisation. Your role will also involve identifying and engaging with key stakeholders at all levels, developing detailed communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed, conducting thorough training needs assessments to identify gaps and requirements, and establishing a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to track progress.

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Change Manager position will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, preferably within the public sector. You will have a strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools such as Prosci or ADKAR. Your experience managing large-scale organisational change efforts will be crucial in this role. Knowledge of the New Zealand public sector environment is essential. Your excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills will enable you to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Lastly, your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will help you think strategically while executing tactically.
- 5+ years of proven experience in Change Management roles
- Knowledge of the New Zealand public sector environment
- Varied Change Management Engagements across multiple organisations
- Strong Understanding of Change Management frameworks & methodologies
- Ability to develop and implement effective change strategies
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in providing training and support during periods of organisational change
