He angitūtanga / The opportunity:
Join our team at Fonterra Whareroa, Hawera, as a Chef Manager. This is a permanent full time position. You will be responsible for organizing and managing the contract in accordance with Compass Group and client standards, ensuring great quality catering services.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with clients, ensuring long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Plan and control menu-based catering, preparing, cooking, and presenting food to meet client and customer expectations.
- Manage inventory, establish stock control systems, and implement effective food waste management procedures.
- Lead and manage a team, providing training, performance feedback, and resolving performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety legislation, maintaining a safe and secure workplace.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
- In-depth understanding of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment principles.
- Proven experience in managing successful teams and single-site operations within the industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a budget and identify business opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to form productive relationships with clients and team members.
- Computer literate with a thorough comprehension of food hygiene practices.
