John Austin Ltd, a well-established, family-owned Agricultural Contracting business in the heart of Waikato, is looking for a Transport & Fleet Maintenance Manager. About the Role:
This key position involves supporting our workshop and customer service teams. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet and machinery, particularly during peak agricultural seasons.

Key Responsibilities:
• Workshop & Machinery Knowledge: Utilize your in-depth understanding of workshops and machinery to support daily operations.
• Agriculture & Farming Insight: Apply your knowledge of agricultural processes to enhance efficiency.
• Timesheet & Job Card Management: Ensure accurate completion of job cards and timesheets daily.
• Customer Support: Handle customer inquiries when our service staff are busy.
• Stock Control: Manage and organize stock, acting as the gatekeeper for incoming and outgoing parts.
• Record Keeping: Keep machinery servicing records up-to-date and accurate.
• Truck Dispatch & Management: Oversee the dispatch and management of our truck fleet.
• Logbook Management & R&M Budgeting: Ensure proper logbook maintenance and adherence to repair and maintenance budgets.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold our commitment to safety in all operations.

About You:
• Passionate about working with machinery and in workshop settings.
• Highly organized, detail-focused, and efficient in your work.
• Experienced in financial budgeting and stock management.
• Honest, self-motivated, and responsible, with strong communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
