About the role

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and safety conscious person to join our team in Busan, South Korea as Chief Engineer.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe and effective operation of site chairlifts, luge carts, conveyor systems, tracks and associated facilities ensuring the highest standards of safety and lead, support and develop the members of your team.

You’ll be responsible for

• providing expert engineering/aerial ropeways advice,
• leading the engineering teams,
• planning, implementing and administering an effective preventive maintenance programme,
• ensuring all cableway operations are maintained and running within manufacturer specifications, relevant legislation and codes of practice,
• managing and executing aerial ropeways and equipment breakdowns,
• managing engineering budgets, cost control and capex planning,
• health and safety management.

You’ll have/be

• 3+ years experience as a mechanical engineer,
• a qualification in Maintenance/Mechanical Engineering, Marine, Automotive, or Electrical Maintenance,
• strong fault finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to work under pressure to manage and execute equipment breakdowns,
• the ability to interpret technical drawing and work to fine tolerances,
• welding experience.
