Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding team member to manage our diverse range of predominately commercial/industrial property assets based in Auckland and the Waikato.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be keen to build relationships with tenants and suppliers .

Ideally, the you will have some background in either managing property assets and/or hands on experience with building or project management.

We are a small, professional team based in well-appointed offices in the Viaduct Harbour area in central Auckland.

We work efficiently with regular hours of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Your day will consist of a mix of being office based and out on-site.

They key focus of the role is:

  • Managing and co-ordinating the on-going maintenance and remedial works on all assets.
  • Ensuring commercial building and safety compliance is met with relevant authorities.
  • Co-ordinate tenders and quotes. Facilitate all maintenance work.
  • Develop and manage annual facilities budgets in conjunction with our Financial Controller and Management Accountant. This includes operational and capital expenditures.
  • Co-ordinate insurance for all assets.
  • Handling tenant inquiries. Develop and maintain our excellent relationship with tenants.
  • Regular inspections to ensure that tenants are complying with their repair and maintenance obligations.
  • Handling any breaches of maintenance obligations professionally and ensure that the work is carried out and signed off.
  • Managing and reporting of make-good and end-of-lease obligations
  • Project management with overseeing refurbishment in between tenants.
  • Management of new buildings post construction. Liaising and supporting tenants in the early stages of the lease.



What we are looking for:

If you have strong commercial/industrial facilities management experience we would love to hear from you. Some practical building or other trade experience will be useful.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be dealing with a broad range of stakeholders.

Excellent organisation and attention to detail is required for this role
