We are looking for a passionate individual with a Class 5 Driver's License, mechanical proficiency and strong customer service orientation for our client to join their team as a Despatcher and play a vital role in delivering their vision of becoming the preferred contracts carrier of linehaul and distribution freight solutions in the North Island.
What we offer:
- Work close to home and locally in your community
- $75,000.00 - $80,000.00
- Monday - Friday with a half-day every second Saturday
- 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM
- Tools of trade.

What you need:
- Significant competency, driving experience with a class 5 driver's license, and understanding of HPMV would be an average to operate a variety of trucks.
- Mechanical proficiency to ensure equipment remains fully operational at all times, minimizing breakdowns.
- Strong customer service orientation building positive relationships with customers and gaining a competitive edge thus driving revenue growth to continuously improve your business operations.
- Proactive and self-starting attitude to identify opportunities for improvement or innovation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to foster innovation, achieve collective goals, maximize productivity, and cultivate a positive work culture.
- Key Duties but not limited:
- Provide effective local and linehaul cartage and freight movement services to meet customer demands and maintain competitive advantage.
- Maintain all mechanical equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure legislative compliance to demonstrate commitment to ethical and lawful business practices.
- Support workplace health & safety initiatives to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries, leading to higher morale, lower absenteeism, and increased productivity.
- Foster positive relationships with team members and customers to contribute to a supportive work environment and enhance the organization's reputation.
- Continuously seek improvement in service quality and efficiency to enhance customer satisfaction and optimize resource utilization.
