Job Description
About the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga
This role sits within the Verification Services directorate of New Zealand Food Safety and reports to the Manager Business Operations and Performance.
Working as a Business Support Officer within Verification Services (VS), your key role will be providing a range of administrative and logistical support to our teams and the first point of contact for our frontline teams in booking travel nationally.
You will need to be flexible, and able to quickly shift your focus to deliver as priorities change through the course of a week and juggle the expectations of managers from different areas of the business. You will facilitate the smooth running of various support functions including organising meetings, arranging travel, raising purchase orders and document preparation and circulation.
You'll be joining a dedicated team, supporting a large scale frontline national team. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience within New Zealand Food Safety, Verification Service and to make a real impact to help our people and operations.
About You - Mōu
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience in an administrative and/or support role
- Be confident working across a number of systems and processes.
- Excellent word and excel skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience in meeting preparation and minute taking and data entry
- Relationship building skills and a commitment to service delivery
- Strong time management, prioritisation, and adaptability.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure, adhering to time constraints, in a dynamic environment.
