Job Description

Mō te tūranga | About the Role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate with various squads across the organisation to support Windows initiatives. You'll engage in exciting projects utilising the latest technologies to drive successful outcomes and promote efficient infrastructure management. You will be responsible to oversee the patching process front-to-back whilst encompassing the mitigation of vulnerabilities.

Some key responsibilities of the role:

  • Design, build, and maintain the Windows patching infrastructure.
  • Operate and manage Windows patching services, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Support application squads mitigating Windows vulnerabilities, providing guidance, expertise, and solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Maintain and enhance the infrastructure control framework, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentor squad members on best practices and standards for Windows patching.
  • Identify and implement optimisation opportunities for Windows patching services to improve performance and reduce costs.


Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • Deep understanding of Windows Server administration.
  • Deep understanding of Windows patching tools such as MECM, WSUS, Ivanti
  • Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, CHEF scripting, and Ansible.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of observability and system monitoring such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
