About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Asbestos Class A & B Supervisor to join our team. This is a critical role that involves overseeing asbestos-related projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supervising the safe removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in asbestos management and removal, along with the required certifications and a full clean driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage asbestos removal projects (Class A & B) from start to finish
  • Ensure all asbestos-related work is carried out in accordance with current legislation and company procedures
  • Conduct site assessments and ensure risk assessments are in place and adhered to
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and records for all asbestos removal work
  • Oversee and mentor a team of asbestos operatives, providing guidance and support
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are strictly followed on site
  • Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies to ensure projects run smoothly and to specification
  • Conduct final site inspections to ensure that work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with regulations


Essential Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Class A and Class B Asbestos Supervisor Certificates (must be accredited by an approved training provider)
  • Full clean NZ driving licence
  • Extensive experience in asbestos removal and supervision of Class A & B work
  • Ability to assess and manage risks on asbestos sites
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively with teams
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients and authorities
  • Must be physically fit and able to work in sometimes challenging environments


Desirable Skills:

  • Asbestos Awareness training
  • First Aid Certification
  • Ability to operate relevant site equipment
  • Experience in managing and overseeing larger-scale asbestos projects
