About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand/ Driver to work at Nelson Hospital. Permanent part-time a minimum of 4 hours per week.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for;

  • Basic food preparation and presentation
  • Sandwich making
  • Providing superb customer service
  • Serving meals
  • Stock control
  • Washing dishes
  • Assisting in general kitchen and cleaning duties
  • Transportation and delivery of food


He kōrero mōu / About you:

If you're our ideal candidate;

  • You will be in possession of a clean and Full driver's license as you will be expected to collect food and deliver it to sites.
  • You will have good communication skills, be well presented, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Ideally you will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) (or be happy to train for one).
  • You will have superior customer service skills but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
