About the role
Due to expansion we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our Auckland team.
In this role you will be responsible for all inbound/outbound activities in our 3PL Warehouse as well as leading a team to ensure that the productivity, quality and overall performance continues to meet our high expectations. Our customers are a key focus for us and we aim to provide a fantastic service to them, you will be a key part in making this happen.
This is a full-time role operating Monday - Friday, however occasional weekend work maybe required.
Key tasks:
- Manage the day to day warehouse operation to ensure timely, accurate and efficient pick and pack of chilled and frozen goods.
- Lead and coach the warehouse staff.
- Develop labour models and productivity tracking tools to manage the day-to-day work plan.
- Maintain storage area by organising floor space; adhering to storage design principles; and recommending improvements.
- Interface with customers to build robust relationships.
- Lead the implementation of new customers.
- Maintain inventory by conducting physical counts and assisting the Warehouse Administrator with reconciling variances and conducting investigations and corrective actions where required.
- Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Ensure that health & safety and compliance procedures are met and your team is safe at all times.
Key Attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership role, preferably in logistics.
- Proven track record of effectively managing people and resources to achieve operational goals.
- Strong understanding of warehousing processes and operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred.

A current OSH approved Forklift and Reach Truck licence and experience operating a reach truck is required. Prior experience in chilled and frozen is preferred but not required.
