Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

The Downer Wellington team needs a physically fit and motivated person to join our crew and lend a helping hand as a General Worker. This is an entry-level opportunity for people interested in civil infrastructure and roading.

As a General Worker you will be involved in the general operation of machinery as well as day-to-day manual labouring duties. This could include:

Helping with safe site setup for your crew and the general public
Ensuring efficient use of materials, supplies and equipment
Working as part of a cohesive team to deliver to client requirements

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

Class 1 full license required class 2 preferred
Flexibility is desirable given you will be required to work shift work
Civil construction experience desirable
Enjoy working outdoors and keeping physically fit
Be reliable and hard working
