We are partnering with Agrecovery to find a dedicated and knowledgeable Scheme Manager for their Small Bags programme. Based in Wellington, this role offers an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and support within a growing initiative. With a focus on sustainability, you'll be part of a tight-knit team passionate about making a real difference in the agricultural sector. What you'll do:
As the Scheme Manager - Small Bags at Agrecovery, your primary role will be to take ownership for the small bags programme. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the programme, ensuring efficient coordination between contractors and recyclers. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you analyse collection data to drive continuous improvement within the programme. You will also play a crucial role in building relationships with various stakeholders including within Agrecovery, merchants and collection sites. Additionally, you will develop training materials for distribution to sites and other stakeholders while also undertaking site training and audits as required. Your role will extend to providing administrative support to farmers/growers through various channels.
- Manage and oversee the Small Bags programme, coordinating collections and deliveries between contractors and recyclers.
- Analyse collection data relating to the Small Bags programme.
- Make improvements to the small bags programme, focusing on continuous development and innovation.
- Build relationships and support Agrecovery brands, collection contractors, merchants and collection sites.
- Develop training materials for distribution to sites and other stakeholders.
- Undertake site training and audits as required.
- Coordinate, attend and support the wider team with management of collection, marketing and other industry events.
- Provide administrative and customer service support to farmers/growers through the 0800 number and info email.
- Ensure all Agrecovery databases are up-to-date and fit for purpose.
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Scheme Manager - Small Bags position at Agrecovery, you bring along a tertiary qualification coupled with knowledge of operational principles. Your experience in both Project Management and in customer-facing roles has equipped you with excellent communication skills that you can leverage in this role. You have well-developed administrative skills and an in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will be key in managing the various aspects of the small bags programme. Additionally, your ability to travel within New Zealand will enable you to effectively manage on-site responsibilities.

- Experience working with the primary sector in New Zealand
- Experience in customer facing roles
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel
- Well-developed administrative skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Close attention to detail and organisational skill
- The ability to travel within New Zealand from time to time
