Job Description

About the Role

Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Some Duties include but not limited to:

  • Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
  • Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
  • Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
  • Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
  • Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes

Skills and Experience

  • Legal right to work in New Zealand
  • New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing and/or experience as a caregiver
  • People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
