About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and passionate Registered Nurse to deliver high quality nursing services to people living in the community. You will live in the Ōtautahi Christchurch region.

You will utilise your nursing knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement to provide community based clinical support, education and advocacy. Our clients have a wide variety of support needs - you may find yourself working alongside a person who is recovering from an injury, completing hands on nursing tasks (such as wound, catheter and medication management), right through to people who require long term support to remain safe and well in their own home. We can guarantee no two days are ever the same!

  • Strong clinical assessments, excellent assessment skills and a desire to develop your career
  • Fantastic interpersonal and time management skills
  • An ability to think fast on your feet in our fast paced but rewarding environment
  • A great sense of humour and the ability to quickly develop professional rapport with your clients and colleagues
  • Restricted or Full Driver's License - must be able to drive around by yourself!


Essential to the role is:

  • A Registered Nurse qualification and a current NZ practising certificate
  • at least 2+ years of previous community experience
  • You must be a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, coupled with a caring nature and the ability to connect and interact within a multi-cultural environment.
  • A team player, someone who can build professional relationships in the community.
  • Ability to self-direct and manage a busy workload
  • Restricted or Full Driver's License - and comfortable out and about seeing clients in their own homes.
  • Competent computer skills - email, computer-based assessments, smartphones and tablets are used in this role
  • We offer you a fantastic work/life balance as you will be only required to work Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm OR 8:30am - 5pm. No weekend or shift work!
